The Microscope

The surgical microscope has revolutionized endodontics and is soon to become the standard of care. It magnifies the tooth up to 25 times, allowing the doctor to see small canals, fractures, and debris, and to clean them more thoroughly.

Dr. Fife uses the microscope for 100% of his work. He has a digital camera attached to the microscope, allowing him to capture highly-magnified images during treatment. This allows better communication with patients and other doctors.

Take a look at some of the images Dr. Fife has captured with his microscope:

                 Endodontic files magnified X

Located canals inside teeth - magnified X

Translating to locate fractures and canals

Post-operative suturing                                                 Locating an extra canal
